The local health department is warning people to stay out of Vancouver Lake, due to an algae bloom. It is not closed, but children and animals are especially susceptible to the algae which can cause serious illness.

The rain has arrived. Getting ready for fall events
Sip & Stroll. September 18th, 4PM - 8:30PM, Cellar 55 in Uptown Village. Enjoy a fun afternoon of shopping unique boutiques, sampling beer and wine from 40 regional breweries and wineries, listen to live music, and enter to win exciting raffle prizes.
A $25 ticket includes wine and beer tasting, a commemorative glass and shopping discounts, and a $5 ticket includes non-alcoholic beverages and shopping discounts. Raffle tickets are available for $10 each. All proceeds will benefit the Hough Foundation Family Services Center.
