Officially launched in October 2009, WestVancouverNow is a community site dedicated to news and events in the neighborhoods of Esther Short, Hough, Arnada, Cascade Park, Shumway, and Lincoln. If you see something interesting in the neighborhood — or would like to let us know about an important issue — please drop us an email. It could be a new business, road construction, land use change, lost pet or an upcoming event. Just drop us a note at westvancouvernow@gmail.com . It might help traffic (things are pretty sleepy around here) if we had a general idea as to who’s writing.
So hi. I’m a teacher who lives in the Lincoln neighborhood and works south of the Columbia. I make the commute because I really like my neighbors, my church, and West Van.
My name is Eric and I also live in the Linclon Neighborhood. I am slowly trying ot build the site sending out e-mails to all the neighborhood organizations. Some sites in Seattle gave me the idea of starting this site for West Vancouver. I believe it will grow over time and to thinks it fills a nitch.
